Surf and Turf 6 - May 16 and 17, 2009
Surf and Turf is our annual tournament that features pool play on the grass on Saturday followed by brackets on the beach on Sunday.
The format is 5-2 co-ed on the grass and 4-1/3-2 co-ed on the beach.
The party Saturday night will feature a full surf and turf menu, as well as plenty of tasty beverages and disc-oriented games.
INFO:
1. Entry Fee - $225 Due by April 15th, 2009! . Send email for payment address.
2. Teams - 15 out of town bids. Spot is secured when payment is received.**
3. Party Saturday night will feature Surf and Turf menu as well as plenty of tasty beverages.
4. Entry fee provides 12 dinner tickets per team. Additional players/family/friends may pay $5 at the party to chow.
**TD reserves the right to deny access to notoriously poor-spirited teams.
We are already being contacted by teams interested, so send in those check early!
*** Team Name must somehow be related to this area; something about the beach, fishing, seagulls, whatever you want. Remember this, the creativity of your name will earn you points on your Spirit Score in each game.

Spirit of the Game

If you have ever play against, or with, ECUC, you will already know that we take our Spirit seriously (is that an oxymoron). So, as you can probably guess, Spirit has a prominent role in our tourney.

At the party Saturday night, the Spirit Award will be given out to the team with the highest total "Spirit Score".
Watch this space for more specifics, but I can give you a hint...your score will be based on your Spirit before, during, and after each game, and you will be scoring each other as the tourney is played.
You may have noticed above, but your first chance for Spirit points is with you team name! Good Luck!!
